80. Abigail TALCOTT45 was born on 13 Apr 1707 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. She died on 24 Jun 1773 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. Abigail, daughter of Gov. Joseph Talcott and Eunice (Howell), widow of Samuel Wakeman, was born in Hartford, Conn., Aug 13, 1707, married Rev. Daniel Wadsworth, minister of the first church of Hartford (born Nov. 14, 1704), Feb. 28, 1733-4.
Rev. Daniel Wadsworth died in Hartford, Nov. 12, 1747, ae. 43 years. Abigail, his widow, died in Hartford, June 24, 1776, ae 66 years.
The Rev. Daniel Wadsworth was the son of Dea. John Wadsworth, of Farmington, and Elizabeth Stanley. He graduated at Yale College in 1726, was a member of that corporation from 1743 until his death; he settled in Hartford and succeeded the Rev. Timothy Woodbridge (who died April 30, 1732) as pastor of the First Congregational Church, Sept. 28, 1732. His daughters never married, but his son, Jeremiah, married Mehitabel, daughter of the Rev. William and Mary (Pierpont) Russell, of Middleton, Nov. 19, 1764, and had a family. He died April 30, 1804, ae. 61, and she died in 1817, ae. 82. Col. Jeremiah was Commissary-General through nearly the whole Revolutionary war, and was known as the intimate friend of Gen. Washington, who always, when at Hartford during the war, made his house his home. It is said he was there when Arnold's treason was first discovered. He was several times a member of Congress. His daughter, Catherine, married Gen. Nathaniel Terry (March 14, 1798), who was one of the most prominent citizens of Hartford. Rose Terry, the authoress, and Gen. Alfred Howe Terry, of the army, were his grandchildren by two of his sons.
Dea. John Wadsworth, of Farmington (father of the Rev. Daniel), Married Elizabeth, daughter of John Stanley, Aug. 20, 1696, and had Sarah, b. July 30, 1697; Elizabeth, b. Nov. 3, 1700; John, b. Oct.9, 1702; Daniel (Rev.), b. Nov. 14, 1704; Lydia, b. Oct. 9, 1706; Ruth, b. April 14, 1711; Mercy, b. Sept. 11, 1713. His wife died Oct. 25, 1713, and he married Mary Gridley, who had been second wife of Samuel Wadsworth. The father of Deacon John above, was John the eldest son of William, of Cambridge, and was born in England. He married Sarah, daughter of Thomas Stanley, and had Sarah, b. Nov. 1,1657; Samuel, b. Jan., 1660; John (Deacon), b. April 14, 1662; Mary, b. Nov. 13, 1665. d.y.; William, b. 1671; Nathaniel, b. 1667; James, b. 1667 (twin with Nath.); Thomas, b. 1678; Hezekiah, bap. Dec. 24, 1682. John Wadsworth, Sr., died in 1689.

Abigail TALCOTT and Rev. Daniel WADSWORTH were married on 28 Feb 1734 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.46 Rev. Daniel WADSWORTH was born on 14 Nov 1704 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut. He graduated in 1726 in Yale College. He died on 12 Nov 1747 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. Abigail TALCOTT and Rev. Daniel WADSWORTH had the following children:
