1355. Elijah Hart TALCOTT³⁸² was born on 10 Apr 1817 in Manchester, Hartford County, Connecticut. He died on 11 Nov 1866 in Sweden Center, Monroe County, New York. Elija Hart, son of Elija Talcott and Florilla Hubbard, was born in Manchester, Ct., April 10, 1817, married 1st Ninetta, daughter of Horatio West, April 27, 1841.
Ninetta, wife of ELIJAH TALCOTT, died Sept. 26, 1851, and he married CLARISSA HATHAWAY, May 27, 1852.
Clarissa, 2d wife of ELIJAH H. TALCOTT, died May 14, 1853, and he married ELIZABETH B. HANCOCK, Nov. 24, 1854.
Elijah H. Talcott died in Sweden, N. Y., Nov. 11, 1866. Mr. TALCOTT was in business in Talcottville till the spring of 1847, when he removed to Sweden, N. Y., and then was engaged in farming until his death. He was a through businessman, honest and industrious, and a diligent and fervent christian, He was a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church, at North Bergen, of which the Rev. Mr. Barnard was pastor; a member of A. B. C. F. M.; life member of the American Tract Society and of the Society for the Promotion of Collegiate and Theological Education in the west.
