144. Gaius TALCOTT⁴⁴ was born in New Milford, Orange County, Connecticut. Gaius, son of Nathaniel Talcott and Hannah Ferris, was born in New Milford, married Sarah, daughter of Joseph Caustin, Sept. 13, 1766.
Gaius Talcott with eight others purchased a large tract of land in Duchess Co., N.Y., known as the "Nine partners." He died ------- and his widow married Doctor Lott Trip, of Hudson, N.Y.
