335. Elizur TALCOTT¹⁴² was born on 19 Apr 1759 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut. He died on 4 Jan 1835. Elizur, son of Elizur Talcott and -----------, was born in -------, April 19, 1759, married Sarah Baxter, of Enfield, Ct. (b. May 12, 1767), Jan 13, 1790, and had in Enfield, the first five named children.
Elizur Talcott died in Mesopotamia, O., Jan. 4, 1853. Sarah, his wife, died in Mesopotamia, O., Oct. 15, 1853.
Elizur Talcott resided first in Enfield, Conn., and removed from thenceto Norwich, now Huntington, Hampden Co., Mass., where he remained until 1826, when he went to Ohio with his family and sett;ed in Mesopotamia, Trumbull Co. The mother of Elizur Talcott died at his house in Norwich, Mass. He was the grandson of Samuel Talcott and Thankful Belding. The old family bible in possession of Miss M. B. Tracy, of Mesopotamia, in which is written "The widow Thankful Talcott," was probably that of his grandmother. Elizur Talcott was a Revolutionary soldier, and by occupation a farmer.
