1218. Martin TALCOTT³⁶³ was born on 7 Apr 1806 in Dalton, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. He died on 3 Jul 1874 in Dow City, Crawford County, Iowa. Martin, son of Joseph Talcott, Jr., and Rebecca Warren, was born in Dalton, Mass., April 7 1806, married 1st Mary Kellog, March 3, 1830.
Mary, wife of Martin Talcott, died May 30, 1838, ae. 28 years,and he married Sybil D. Cutler (b. March 22, 1822, Aug.27, 1840.
Sybil D., wife of Martin Talcott, died near the village of Morrison, Whiteside Co., Ill., June 10, 1857, and he married Hannah Rood, of Morrison, Ill., Jan 23 1860.
Martin Talcott died at his farm near Dowville (now Dow City, Crawford County, Iowa), July 3, 1874 He was a man much beloved by all who knew him. He went with his parents from Dalton, Mass., to Madison, Ohio, in 1816, and in his youth experienced all the troubles and hardships of a pioneer's life; at twenty-one he learned the carpenter's trade, and afterward built a large portion of Centerville, Ohio, where his first child was born. He removed to Illinois and purchased a farm near Morrison, where he remained for a time and finally settled on a farm near Dowville, in Iowa, where he died as above stated.

Sybil D., wife of Martin Talcott, died near the village of Morrison, Whiteside Co., Ill., June 10, 1857, and he married Hannah Rood, of Morrison, Ill., Jan. 23, 1860. Martin TALCOTT and Sybil D.
